Boron carbide  is produced by high temperature smelting boric aid and carbon materails in electric furnaces.

Boron carbide has theoretic density of 2.52g/cm3;Boron carbide has melting point of 2450 C;Boron carbide micro hardness is 4950 kgf/mm2

Boron carbide hardness is just lower than diamond and cubic B4C.

Boron carbide  have high temperature resistance,acid and alkali resistance,high strengh,good chemical stability,and low specific weight,so  Boron Carbide B4C is widely used in many new materials fields.
